Beauvais Airport to Gare de Lyon

How To Get from Beauvais Airport to Gare de Lyon

Travelling from Beauvais Airport to Gare de Lyon? Constructed for the World Exposition in 1900, Gare de Lyon is an architectural masterpiece.

Neighbouring the scenic River Seine on the XIIe arrondissement the station is a popular connection from Paris to destinations as far away as Grenoble, Marseille and Lyon.

Over 90 million passengers use the station each year on the TGV, iDTGV, RER, Thello and TER services.

The excellent connections from Gare de Lyon are used by many visitors to the country. An ever increasingly popular way to get to Paris is through the 10th busiest airport in the region, Beauvais.

A prime opportunity for low fares airlines, Beauvais offers modern facilities across two terminals within a reasonable distance to the French capital.

Located 5 km from Beauvais centre the airport has grown dramatically since 1997 and the introduction of routes to Ireland.

Other routes soon followed and 3 major low fares airlines serve the airport from all across Europe, bringing 4 million passengers through the terminals.

Whilst Beauvais offers an attractive, low cost route into Paris, its public transport connections to the capital are not the most efficient, especially if you are seeking a fast connection to Gare de Lyon for an onward train.

A private taxi to take you the 105 km is arguably the best option by far.
