Disneyland Paris is Europe’s most visited theme park with 14.8 million guests each year. The site carefully chosen for its accessibility to over 300 million people by air in less than 2 hours and 68 million people by road in less than four hours. Disney’s aspiration to build a theme park in Europe spans back to 1984 where they considered over 1200 sites across the region. Settling for the Marne-la-vallee region, located 32 km east from the centre of Paris the resort has expanded dramatically since its 1992 opening, now occupying 19.425km2 with two theme parks, numerous hotels and a golf course.

Families flock to the resort, spending hours on the rides and seeking down autographs from Mickey Mouse, Woody, Anna and Elsa or other much loved characters, many take the opportunity to explore the French capital and its many different stunning and beautiful architectures.

No trip to the City of Lights is complete without a visit to the iconic and instantly recognisable Eiffel Tower. Initially built as the entrance to the 1889 World’s Fair, the Eiffel Tower took two years to construct and was criticised heavily by the architects and artists of the day. Nevertheless, the tower is now a global icon and attracts nearly 7 million visitors each year.

There are over 300 steps to the first level and then another 300 to the second level so if you are planning a trip ahead to the Eiffel Tower during your Disneyland stay ensure you arrive there fresh and ready to go!
