In 1992 the infrastructure and way of life in Marne La Vallee changed dramatically as the Disney corporation opened its European park. Expanding over the years Disneyland Paris now contains 2 theme parks, a golf course and many hotels. As well as the Disney resort, Marne-la-vallee is home to the Sea Life Centre – Val D’Europe and the La Vallee Village – all of which attract many visitors to the town.
The town has expanded to over 15000 hectares and has a population of almost 30000. The area is strong economically and many residents work in the tourist attractions.
Whatever the reason for visiting the town, many fly into Orly Airport and make their way across Paris.
Orly Airport, Paris’ second busiest airport is Air France’s second hub, Transavia’s main hub and a popular destination for both easyJet and Vueling. Well over 30 million passengers use the airport each year. The airport is split over two terminals and serves Air France domestic flights as well as other airlines across Europe, North America, North Africa and the Caribbean.
Located in the South of the city, Orly Airport is 30 km southwest of Marne-la-vallee. The airport is connected to the city bus road, rail and bus services.
Private Taxi from Orly Airport to Marne-la-Vallee

Transfers from Orly Airport to Marne-la-Vallee by Train
The Orlyval automatic light metro shuttle connects Orly Airport to the Parisian suburban rail network. With this connection it is possible to make your way to Marne-la-vallee.
Taking the Orlyval to Antony you can catch the RER B train to Chatelet Les Halles. Once there you then change to the RER A line where you can get off at whichever RER station is closest to your destination in Marne-la-vallee.
Duration: 1 hr 30 minutes
Cost: Adult single ticket is €10, Child single ticket is €7
There are other options by which you take Metro or RER trains but they all end up at Chatelet Les Halles or Nation where you take the RER A line anyway, these options add no value and take much longer.
There are no intercity rail options between Orly Airport to Marne-la-vallee.
Transfer from Orly Airport to Marne-la-Vallee by Shuttle Bus
There are bus options from Orly to Marne-la-vallee, however there are not the most convenient or expeditious.
The first is to take the Orlyval bus to Rochert-Denfereau where you can catch the RER B line to Chatelet Les Halles. From there you take the RER A to wherever you need to disembark in Marne-la-vallee.
Duration: 1 hr 30 minutes.
Cost: Adult single ticket each way is €23, Child single ticket each way is €20
The second option is the Disney Magical Shuttle Bus which departs Orly Airport every 40 minutes between 0900 and 2000 and goes to the Disneyland Paris hotels. You can take this bus and get off at whichever hotel is closest to your destination.
Duration: 1 hr 20 minutes.
