Transfers From CDG Airport to La Defense By Train

CDG Airport to La DefenseUtilising the train is an option to travel to La Defense from Charles de Gaulle.

The first option is catching the RER B from Charles de Gaulle RER station (situated underneath busy Terminal 2), you can take the line to Chatelet-Les-Halles where you catch the RER A to La Defense RER station. Trains run between 0500-0000 and the journey takes approximately 46 minutes dependent on connection.

  • Duration: 45 minutes
  • Cost: Adult single ticket is €10, Child single ticket is €7

The second option is to catch the RER B to St Michel Nd where you then walk for 10 minutes to Chatelet where you catch the Metro to La Defense. This journey is not ideal for those travelling with families, the elderly or lots of luggage.

There are a couple of options for the bus too for travel from Charles de Gaulle to La Defense. Before taking any bus journey from CDG be aware that not all bus services go from each terminal, careful planning is required.

The first option is catching Le Bus Direct 2 from Terminal 2A or 2C to Etoile/Champs Elysees. From there you need to walk through to CDG Etoile where you catch the RER A to La Defense.

  • Duration: 45 minutes
  • Cost: Adult single ticket is €18, Child single ticket is €10

The second option is the cheaper option but longer, has only 3 buses per day and very dependent on the traffic congestion in Paris. The Ouibus goes direct from Terminal 2 and 3 straight to La Defense through St Denis. If your flight is delayed or you are held up at customs then this option can be very risky.
