Transfers from Gare de Lyon to CDG Airport by Train

Paris has an extensive intercity rail network, the RER and it is this rail service that you can take between Gare de Lyon to CDG. The RER can be very busy, particularly during peak times.

The journey starts on the RER A line from Gare de Lyon where you catch a train to Chatelet Les Halles. From there you change onto the RER B network and take the train to CDG rail station underneath terminal 2E and 2F.

The network runs between the hours of 0500 and 0000 and trains typically depart every 10-15 minutes. Different tickets are available, dependent on your circumstances.

Duration: 42 minutes

Cost: Adult single ticket is €10, Child single ticket is €7.

It is not practicable to use the intercity rail network between Gare de Lyon to Charles de Gaulle airport, the journey is overly complex and takes an extremely long time.

Transfer from Gare de Lyon to CDG Airport by Bus

Using the bus between Gare de Lyon to CDG airport is possible, however, only 1 option is direct and the rest require inconvenient changes at either Gare de l’Est, Opéra or Port de la Chapelle.

Line 4 of Le Bus Direct provides the only direct option between the two destinations. The service runs direct from Boulevard Diderot outside Gare de Lyon to all CDG terminals except terminal 3. Operating each day the bus runs between 0600 and 2300.

This bus service can be extremely busy and seating with others in your group is not guaranteed.
