Air France uses Orly airport as a secondary hub and Transavia uses it as its main hub.

Orly airport can be crowded, 32 million passengers pass through it’s door each year and it can be daunting as flights are condensed into only two terminals. Any passengers passing through should plan their onward journey carefully.

Orly has road, rail and bus connections and even features an automatic light railway called the Orlyval which takes people to Antony RER station.

Transfers from Orly to Montparnasse By Train

Paris has an extensive suburban rail network, comprising of the RER and Metro line trains. By using the RER and the Orlyval it is possible to travel between Orly to Montparnasse.

Taking the Orlyval leads you Antony and the RER B line. On the RER B line you can take the train to either Denfert-Rochereau or Port-Royal where you can walk into Montparnasse.

Duration: 39 minutes.

Cost: Orlyval single ticket is €13.20, Children under 4 go free. The RER service is then Adult single ticket €10, Child single ticket €7.

Despite being major transport hubs, there are no intercity rail services between Orly Airport to Gare Montparnasse.

Transfer from Orly Airport to Montparnasse By Bus

There are a two different bus options, depending entirely where you wish to go to in Montparnasse.

The first option is to take the Direct 1 from Orly Airport straight to Gare Montparnasse and the second option is to take the Orlybus from Orly Sud to Denfert Rochereau.

Gare Montparnasse is convenient for any wishing to travel to the north or west of the area and Denfert Rochereau is suitable for anyone going to the south or east of the area.
