Transfers From Orly To CDG Airport By Train

It is possible to catch trains between Orly to CDG airport but these options are far from straight forward and not a joyous prospect for anyone who does not like crowds or has children with them.

All journey’s start with a transit from Orly to connecting stations and end in the CDG train station situated underneath terminal 2 on the RER B line.

The first option is to catch the RER B line. From Orly you take the Orlyval shuttle train to Antony and then catch the RER B to Charles de Gaulle. The journey is quite long and can take as long as 1hr 30 minutes. Trains run between 0500 and midnight.

Duration: 1 hour 20 minutes

Cost: Adult single ticket is €10, Child single ticket is €7.

Also on the RER B line you can travel from Denfert-Rochereau after catching the Orlybus. The cost and duration are the same as the first option.

Lastly it is possible to take the shuttle bus from Orly to Pont De Rungis where you can catch the RER A to St Michel Notre Dame. From here you can catch the RER B to CDG.

Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes

Cost: Adult single ticket is €10, Child single ticket is €7.

There a limited services utilising the RER and SNCF networks but these are overly complicated and very limited and definitely not recommended.

Transfer From Orly To Charles de Gaulle By Bus

The final option is the bus from Orly to Charles de Gaulle. Bus options are limited with the distance and nature of the network with only 1 real viable option. Line 3 of Le Bus Direct operates a direct service between Orly and CDG.

This bus operates from both Orly terminals to all CDG terminals except 3 and runs between 0555 and 2100, departing every 20 to 30 minutes.

The journey typically takes an hour but this can increase during peak periods. The service is free for Air France connecting passengers, however, for non Air France passengers there is a fee.

Cost: Adult single ticket each way is €20, Child single ticket each way is €10.
