After a long international flight, who would want to wait in more lines and make multiple transfers to get to the hotel. Taxis offer a quick and easy airport transfer so you can start relaxing straight away.
The train also connects Orly Airport to Radisson Blu Hotel area but involves the most stops and transfers of the three options. From Orly Airport station, take the 8-minute Orlyval metro ride to Antony Station. Here you’ll transfer to the RER B line heading towards Chatelet Les Halles. This 25-minute subway ride takes you into central Paris.
At Chatelet Les Halles station, change to the RER A train on the Marne-la-Vallee line. It’s about a 45 minute ride to the Marne-La-Vallee Chessy station, the same one the Magical Shuttle bus stops at. Finally, take the hotel’s complimentary shuttle bus for the last 7 minutes to the Radisson Blu.
With three metro and train transfers, luggage lugging, and potential waiting time between connections, getting to the hotel by train takes around 1 hour 30 minutes total.
The cost of a one-way RER train ticket is approximately €12 per adult. Discounted rates are available for kids depending on age.
While the most scenic option allowing you to see the city, the train is best suited for savvy travelers with minimal luggage. Families and those new to Paris’ vast metro system may find it complex.
For travelers on a budget looking to save some euros, taking the bus is the most economic transportation choice. Outside Orly Airport Terminal, you can catch the Magical Shuttle. This bus runs regularly throughout the day, departing every 30 minutes.
It takes around 1 hour 20 minutes to reach Chessy Marne-La-Vallee train station, depending on traffic. From there you’ll need to take the Radisson Blu Hotel’s complimentary shuttle bus for the short final leg. Their shuttle runs every 20 minutes and takes about 7 minutes to reach the hotel entrance.
The Magical Shuttle bus fare is €10 one-way for adults. Kids under 10 years old can ride for free when accompanied by a paying adult. Bus drivers only accept exact change so come prepared with coins or small bills.
While budget-friendly, the bus does involve a transfer between stations and you’ll have to keep an eye on your luggage. But if you pack light and plan accordingly, it’s doable.
