Transfers from Orly Airport to Versailles by Train
There are several options to utilise the suburban rail, metro and tram services to go from Orly Airport to versailles. However, these journeys all require changes at different stations, which really is not the easiest if you have baggage or are travelling with young children or elderly people.
The first option is to take the T7 tram from Orly Airport to La Fraternelle. From there it is a 3 minute walk to Rungis-la-Fraternelle RER station where you take the RER C to Massy – Palaiseau. You then need to change onto a RER C train headed to Gare de Versailles Chantiers. versailles is then a short walk away dependent on where you need to go.
The RER operates between 0500 and 0000 each day and trains typically depart every 10-15 minutes from stations.
Duration: 56 minutes.
Cost: Adult single ticket is €10, Child single ticket is €7.
The second option starts on the Orlyval driverless light railway which departs from Orly airport. You take this train to Antony where you change onto the RER B service to Massy – Palaiseau. It is then another change at Massy Palaiseau onto the RER C train to Gare de versailles Chantiers.
Duration: 58 minutes.
Cost: Adult single ticket is €13.20, Children under 4 go free. The RER service is then Adult single ticket €10, Child single ticket €7.
There are other services but these utilise bus networks so they are listed below, despite using trains.
It is not possible to use the Intercity rail services from Orly Airport to Versailles.
Transfer from Orly Airport to Versailles by Bus
The first bus option is the Ouibus services which will take you to Gare de Montparnasse. Once there you then take the N Gare de Plaisir Grignon to Gare de Versailles Chantiers.
The second option is similar to the first option, instead of the Ouibus though you take the Direct 1 bus service to Gare de Montparnasse.
