Transfers from Paris to Versailles By Train

There are different train options to get from Paris to Versailles, however, it depends where you are in the city as to how long the journey will take and what additional connections you will need.

The first option is to take the Metro 13 from Saint Lazare train station to Gare Montparnasse, from there you will then take the N Gare de Plaisir Grignon to Gare de Versailles Chantiers. From there Versailles is a short walk away.

Duration: 41 minutes.

Cost: Adult single ticket is €10, Child single ticket is €7.

The second option is to take the L Gare de Versailles Rive Droite from Saint Lazare to Gare de La Défense. From there you then change to the U Gare De La Verrière to Gare de Versailles Chantiers.

Duration: 40 minutes.

Cost: Adult single ticket is €10, Child single ticket is €7.

The third option is to take the L Gare de Versailles Rive Droite to Gare de Suresnes Mont Valerien. From there you then take the Transilien U VERI1C to Gare de Versailles Chantiers.

Duration: 43 minutes.

The fourth option is to go from Gare d’Austerlitz, taking the Metro 10 line to Javel – Andre Citroen. From there you then take the RER C to Gare de Versailles Chantiers.

Transfer from Paris to Versailles by Bus

The only viable bus option to Versailles starts on the Metro 9 line. Grand Boulevard, Bonne Nouvelle and Republique all have stations on the line.

Take the Metro 9 line to Pont de Sevres. From Pont de Sevres you then need to take the 171 bus to Versailles Chantiers.
